What is the meaning behind the Aird’s of Lochinvar name?
Aird is the surname of the family that established Airds of Lochinvar, who have owned and run the business in Lochinvar for 50 years, now into its third generation.
When did you open the Aird’s of Lochinvar doors?
The original store at Lochinvar was built in 1970 and opened its doors in 1971. Before moving to Lochinvar, Aird’s was a Dry Cleaners and Riding Wear manufacturer located in East Maitland, making jodhpurs and riding coats for people across Australia.
What are the different product ranges offered in store and online?
Airds of Lochinvar offers a diverse range of country and urban clothing, footwear and accessories. Available are a huge range of iconic brands such as RM Williams, Akubra, Levi’s, Thomas Cook, Wrangler, Ariat, Yeti and many more. Lochinvar was originally chosen by the Aird family as the new site for the business because of access straight from the highway. With a vison to make it a destination shop, when not much else was in Lochinvar at the time. Lochinvar was an ideal location with a beautiful outlook to grow the business over time and this year celebrating 50 years at Lochinvar and very much looking forward to continuing on into the future. While there are many exciting changes occurring in Lochinvar currently. The Aird family are committed to continue servicing the Hunter region with quality goods and old-fashioned service.
